Most of the Apps (BBC iplayer, itv hub etc.) are not working on my Sony Bravia KD-55XE7073. I can go into the apps but as soon as I select a program to watch the screen either goes black or I get a continuous turning circle in the centre of the screen. I've checked the speed of my router and I'm getting 60 mbps and I don't have any issues using the apps on my laptop. The only app that does seem to work is Netflix.

Assuming that you you tried rebooting your broadband router (to refresh the DNS) I would try a factory reset.
You should note that you have a Linux TV and not Android.
Same problem for me.
I've just upgraded from standard broadband to fast fibre broadband and the TV refuses to stay 'stuck' with it. I log in to the network, TV says it has connected, then when I try to use Netflix or whatever, it says:
"you need to be connected to the internet to use this all" at which point it redirects me to the network logins - which say I'm connected!
This has been happening for about 4 days now - pretty much since my fibre upgrade, and I have managed to use Netflix quite a few times in this period, but it's very intermittent.
All of my other devices, computers, pads, phones, Sonos system, all connect fine (and I can see watch Netflix on them, so not just a Netflix problem) so I'm chasing my tail here.
I've tried connecting via the dropdown network list, and via WPS and sometimes it's fine, sometimes not - but the TV always says it's connected.
My gut feeling is that I need to change some setting in the new router control panel for the TV, but not a clue what I need to do.
Amy help greatly appreciated, it's starting to drive me up the wall now!
Hi Daveand Laura - I did that yesterday, all fine for a couple of hours then when the TV was switched off and on again, same problem.
