My 55XH9505, purchased last October, no longer has UHD programmes available on the BBC iPlayer. It has stopped working correctly in the last 2 weeks.
My Sony 40XD8088 does have the UHD programmes available.
Can anyone suggest what settings I might need to change to restore iPlayer. I've already carried out a Factory reset, to no avail.
My internet connection is running at 145Mbs.
Ensure in Settings for the BBC iPlayer that you select Best Video.
And maybe switch to the Beta setting as well.
Thanks,
Tried both those before coming on here. Also tried a power rest.
The BBC have acknowledged this morning that there is a problem with some Sony Connected TVs, not that Sony Support have.
I'm looking at the iPlayer now on my AG9 and if you go into settings you can Try new features in iPlayer Beta, then it says Play Ultra HD Trial. The iPlayer seems to be testing this option and it's not Standard yet. I hope this explains it better for you.
Thanks.
The BBC Techies are on the case.
Came back with changing any settings yesterday evening.
Now that UHD is back it plays in both versions as long as best is selcted in Video.
Hey BertSlater, thank you for updating the thread, I've seen many posts about it.
