Hi @fox20032

make sure your TV is up to date: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xh90xx_x90xxh_x91xxh_xh92xx-series/kd-65x...

IF the issue remains, tell us if the flickering happens on all sources (TV, HDMI, USB, streaming, etc)

Hi, the problem only occurs whilst using virgin media, i had this in hdmi 1 and a firestick in hdmi 3 the firestick is fine. I have swapped the hdmi leads around and the flash now happens on hdmi 3 with the virgin box. The tv was updated yesterday.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable? or if possible, try the box on another TV.

I have not had chance to try another hdmi lead yet, my flashing is not as severe as the previous post but no less annoying, i will try another lead but I hope this is not a sign these newer tv models are fussy with inputs as my 2014 sony never had this issue. I purchased this tv mainly due to the price and excellent reviews but so far im dissapointed.

Hi @pistuch

Try the following workaround, I heard it helps fix the issue temporarily:

  • Press the Settings button on the remote (Gear Icon)
  • Navigate left to the ‘Settings’ icon and press the OK button on the remote
  • Navigate down to ‘Display & Sound’ and press OK on the remote
  • Navigate to ‘Picture’ and press OK on the remote
  • Navigate down to ‘Motion’ and press OK on the remote to open this menu section
  • Use the arrow keys to change the setting ‘Motionflow’ to ‘Off

As a PC gamer myself, I have Motionflow switched of anyway as it hurts input lag. But that's alright because it's not really meant for gaming anyway.

P.S. Glad to see you could get your hands on a 3090, those are so hard to find atm!!

I'll be interested to read your next update with the new cable. I hope it helps.

If it doesn't, then it's back to basics; Factory reset the TV and reinstall graphics driver.
