Having recently purchased the above I am somewhat disappointed at what the Sony remote can do/not do when watching Sky Q. Prior to purchasing the TV I was told by some local Sony reps/experts that this new all singing and dancing remote can do all! I see no difference from previous models. When watching Sky Q all the Sony remote control is good for is changoing the volume levels and access to Netflix and Google Play. Should I be able to control the Sky broadcasts with the Sony remote including voice control. Sony's online support when contacted about this did not provide any further information as I already had. Surely thousand of viewers who have this TV eventaully and use Sky Q will experience the same problems! Regards

Hi @provostkaypark I assuming you mean the IR Blaster. Unfortunately Sky Q has been out for over 3 years but as far as I know Sony has not updated its device database to include it. Sky+HD works fine but not Sky Q.
This new TV does not have a IR Blaster option!
I have just had the Sony AG9 installed (after my A1 failed due to the speakers burning through the screen and leaving a huge black patch in centre of OLED) and, with a supposedly much improved unit, am pretty shocked that there is no IR Blaster control for Sky - your statement that "SKY+HD works fine" is totally untrue as I have SKY+HD and it does NOT work unless you open the cabinet and use the remote closer to the box and with a clear line of sight which negates the whole point of an IR Blaster! The build quality of the AG9 is also TERRIBLE; the A1 was a high quality unit made with premium materials front and back whereas this AG9 is made of really flimsy panels of plastic, one of which is already broken by the installation team.
I'm also trying to set up the picture and sound but both have fewer settings so the overall quality of TV is far inferior; I don't have the option of returning it despite it only being in my house for 5 hours as it was a warranty replacement so I'm stuck with it.
*All my family and friends are asking me how it is and my feedback is that it is a very poor quality TV unit for a whopping £2,600... Sony have gone backwards with this model as the original Sony A1 OLED was much better and had a better design.
