sony kd-55x9005c sky q loss of signal for few seconds

Hello

i have a  kd-55x9005c TV and have recently switched from sky hd to sky q.

i have the sky output to uhd 2160p 8 bit and the tv enhanced input turned on.

when watching tv what would appear to be very random there is a drop of tv signal from the sky box to the tv.  It only goes for a second or so and then comes back.  I am pretty certain it is a total loss of signal as when it comes back the tv screen displays the information on the screen resolution etc.

questions I Have:

1/ are there any other settings other than enhanced input I need to set on the Tv or on sky q

2/ are there any known issues with this tv model and sky q

3/ is my tv capable of 10 bit... as it does not work when I set that on sky q

4/ should there be an hdmi input I should use for this

I have changed the hdmi cable and the ports on the tv, but no change.

Look forward to responses

Hi Vettesea,

Since you tried different cables and ports, the signal drop issue could be related to the sky box. Is it possible to try it on a different TV if you have a spare one at home?

To answer your questions:

1-No that's the only setting you need to change (on the input to which the box is connected at the time).

2-Not that I know of.

3-Your TV is HDR capable as you can see here.

4-All of your TV's ports are compatible so it should work well on any of them.

If you want to try an extra step on the TV and still assume it's causing the issue, you can try a factory reset.

Hope this helps
