Uninstall YouView? (X800D)

Hey everyone,

i went to catch up on a tv program by opening the menu and choosing that channel. I installed something called YouView which it said would let me watch catch up.

However... it completely replaced my sony proprietary TV guide and settings and I hate it. I just thought catch-up was an application not an entirely new system.

Any ideas how I can go back to the Sony guide?

Thanks a lot!

Hiya

That happens to me all the time.  Post a message on a forum and then a couple of minutes later either figured it out or found the solution

Glad you found it anyhow

Ha. I couldn't find it on the forum topic guidance and search... then posted it followed by googling it afterwards.

Should just go straight to Google in future haha. Thanks

The Sony side of the TV provides BBC and Ch5 catchup.

if you want itv and Ch4 catchup, only YouView provides these on these TVs.

Or a NowTV box (£15 and you don't have to subscribe) will give you these if you don't want to run YouView.
