Update firmware for KD-55AF9 using USB problem

I decided to try to update the firmware by downloading the file to PC and then transferring to USB. this worked fine.

I then followed the instructions in the firmware release notes - turn TV on, insert USB into slot on TV. A screen comes up asking me how I want to open the USB stick giving me various options including open with video, music etc but not one that relates to importing the firmware file to the TV. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @DennisHan   With the USB still connected try a soft reboot (hold down the remote power button until you see Power Off on the screen). I have always found that a USB formatted in NTFS and connected to the HDD 3.0 slot works best.

I have succeeded with the update. I reformatted the USB stick to FAT32 as I had it originally, then extracted the download afresh  from my PC to the stick.  I once again followed the instructions as per the download information as I had originally and slotted the USB stick into the USB2 port on the TV after switching on. Instant success. AirPlay works.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have followed your suggestion and that doesn't work either. Perhaps I shouldn't be impatient but I have been waiting for an update with an AirPlay release.
