Just purchased a Sony KD49XF9005 and see there is now a channel editor available. I have followed instructions and imported the channel list from the tv onto a usb stick but the channel editor wont open anything without a file "sdb.xml". I do not know what it is or where to get it from. Any help is appreciated. Many Thanks

Hi @Fisher14
sdb.xml is the file you “exported” from your TV on to the USB stick.
Thank you for your help and reply. Just for the record another reason i had a problem was that i am running windows 10 and the channel editor requires Java runtime to work and windows 10 does not come with that i have to download it.
Thanks again for advice.

Hi @Fisher14. You are lucky, even after installing the java runtime I have never been able to get it working on my Windows 10 Professional computers. I gave up trying to overcome the security hurdles.
I must admit i got it all working easily but i do intend to delete Java when i have finished editing as there are too many vulnerbilities with it, i think that is why M/Soft do not include it with win 10
I haven't tried to get it working for a while so just tried again. I managed to get it working by creating a .bat file with the command java -jar ChannelEdit_PC.jar.
