Whites look florescent on A8F OLED

Hello. Long-time owner of Panasonic ST60 and Samsung PNF8500 (both of which I love). Thrilled to have just got a new Sony A8F and while the 4k and HDR are surely stunning, it seems to really be suffering regarding picture quality from standard cable. Don’t get me wrong, the picture looks nice, but it seems as if the colors (especially whites) have more of a florescent look to them (almost a glare or artificial look) rather than the rich look of the colors and whites on my Plasma. A good example of this is would be someones herringbone style white dress shirt. On the Sony, it is a glowing (illuminated) white, while on the my Plasma, you can actually see the herringbone pattern and true shading of white within the shirt. I have fooled around with the settings to near exhaustion. I have a few calibrations and settings but still have not found a solution. I have the color temp set to Expert 1 and have tried Peak Luminance both off and every other setting. Gamma, contrast nor brightness adjustments wont pull out the details in whites either. Can someone please help! Is this a Sony vs LG OLED thing or more of a OLED vs Plasma change in tech…

PLEASE HELP… i’m getting so disgusted! THANK YOU!

I use expert 1 colour on my xe9000 although it's an LCD the expert 1 colour gives the luminance you speak off. I actually prefer it , but thats on LCD. The only way i believe to reduce the luminance is to change the colour settings maybe to expert 2 or normal. Not ideal but i think that's just the properties of expert 1..Hope this help in any way. Merry Xmas
