Hi dafoste26, welcome to the Sony Forums :slight_smile:

I'm pretty sure those older cameras aren't supported for USB transfer under Windows 7. You need to use a firewire cable from the iLink / DV-out port on the camera to a suitable port on your PC.

If you don't have a PC with a firewire port you can buy add-on cards quite cheaply.

Please refer to the compatibilty page. Picture Package (the software that was bundled with the TRV480) is not compatible with Win 7, you can use Picture Motion Browser.

my fire wire input along with oters sopped working when i loaded windows 7 thats why i wanted to use usb thanks anyway thanks david

i downloaded picture package update but all it says is go to sony for a driver and there are none
