I would like to update from Picture Package to Picture Motion Browser for my  DCR-DVD505E. Instructions for upgrade include entering the Picture Package CD serial number and mine has none.

Hello and welcome to the Sony Forums

If you cannot see a serial number on the CD, you may need to try and find the original packaging for your camcorder as it may be printed on the CD sleeve or surrounding packaging.

If you still cannot locate this, you may be able to obtain a replacement disc and serial number directly from customer services at Sony but I am pretty sure that there is a charge for this - you will need to confirm this with them.
