My picture and sound don't match

Hi I'm gutted at the moment. We recorded my daughter singing a solo in the school play. After transferring it to the computer the picture and the sound don't match. The sound sounds like it is constantly stopping for seconds but the picture carries on. Any ideas? Please. Many Thanks
