win 7 and Handycam DCR-TRV14E

i have just been given the handycam by my son so that he can transfer the videos to DVD. Having spent the best part of a day installing image maker and finding the correct driver for win 7 and installing so that it shows up under devises.

when I follow the instructions and install the rest of the software ie. Image Mixer it has a problem that it cannot find my CD .

any advise would be appreciated.

Hi maisymouse,

I presume you are using an iLINK cable from the camera's DV port to the PC's iLINK port?

The bundled Sony software is not very compatible with Windows 7.  If I were you, I would use the Windows MovieMaker software included in Windows to import and burn to disc.
