Zoom/ on DSC-H400 + steady position

When I zoom in full a few times it locks and I have to turn off and on ????? also when taking a close up how do I stop the camera shaking I thought this had a devise to prevent this please advise .

Hi photomachine,

Maybe there's an issue with the lens. It might be a good idea to send it to a repair centre for inspection.

Regarding Steady Shot - well, also this system has its limitations. With maximum focal lens the system won't be able to stabilize the picture completely. I would recommend using a tripod.
