I am a new Android user after having been on iOS since the original iPhone. I've got my new SONY XPERIA E1 One pretty much set-up the way I want but I'm just having one issue that I can't resolve.
I've gone into Settings > Language & keyboard > Personal Dictionary
I've created a bunch of keyboard shortcuts but they never work in any applications (example: omw = On my way!)
I've typed my shortcuts in every app there is but none of them work. I've rebooted the phone but still no dice. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any and all help!

Maybe the app should support them.I am not sure I understand exactly the term shortcut.Could you explain a little?
When I want to use a word or sentence which I use regulary, such as " LOVE YOU " so I would create a SHORTCUT[ IN ios] LY, Therefor when I want to type LOVE YOU I would just type in LY and "LOVE YOU" WOULD APPEAR and I woulde be able to send this message through.
Eg:
GREETINGS shortcut would be GR. If I type GR GREETINGS WOULD APPEAR and I do not need to type G R E E T I N G S BUT JUST GR
I think you need a 3rd party keyboard for that.
Thank you for your reply, appreciate.
How does one get a 3rd party kb?
