CMT-S20B mini hifi : dab radio tuning problem

Each time I switch on the radio in automatically tunes to 2Br station. My preset 1 is  radio 4. How can I get it to tune to this on switching on apart from waiting the few seconds and retuning every time with the remote? Thanks

Hi there,

You can find more details on how to preset the radio stations on 'page 15' of the manual. You can find more details here.

Hi Sean

I've tried that but it ignores the presets when first switched on. I have set Radio 4 as Preset 1 on Tuner Memory AND as part of the supposedly possible 20 preset channels but the only way to tune into the required station is to wait until I hear the unwanted start of pop music on the first channel 2BR the  original scan found and to then press TUNER MEMORY 1.

When attempting to preset channels, the preset number doesnt stay displayed immediately and I am having the same trouble with the playmode/ tuning mode button . I attempted to select preset but it had jumped onto scan and now I have lost the presets I did manage to label. Aaagh!! Could there be a fault with this contraption?

Hi Radiospam,

I think it's possible to do that by manually selecting a channel before switching the radio off as opposed to choosing it through the presets so that the next time you use it, it will start up on that same channel. If this doesn't work, I'd try to reset to factory settings just in case this is a small glitch.

This is a common problem on all of this type of set. Just a very poor product when a basic function like this is overlooked. I and others have found that you can get the FM stations to store and return to last listened to. Not ideal, but I hope this helps. I regret buying this product and will steer clear of Sony products in future. Even the aerial (cheap piece of wire) is useless if you dont live in a strong signal area.
