Getting I-pod to work

Hi,

I have a 30gb I-pod classic I want to connect to a cmt-bx70dbi mini system. I put it in the dock on the top & put it on I-pod but nothing happens. I can't find the manual for this anymore & the Sony site says it doesn't have it.

Can anyone help?

@ Chris. Is your ipod working with the system now ? I need help as my system is going on standby as I connect the ipod to it.
