mx550i problem

Hi, recently purchased the mx550i. It charges my ipod classic but won't play music. I can play the music using a cable attached to audio in - but sound quailty isn't very good.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For the IPod Classic the manual says It has to be: 120gb, 160gb (2009 generation) or 160gb (2007 generation) or 80gb... hope this helps!
