Hi. I've just bought a BDP-S185 Blu Ray DVD Player in the UK and am using it in Egypt. I'm connected to the internet via an ethernet cable and have no problem viewing all the American pod casts etc.
However I am trying to get to the BBC iPlayer for radio only (I can listen to the radio on my laptop here in Egypt this way; I know I can't watch live TV on the iPlayer here). When I go to the internet Icon from the Home screen of the BDP-S185, it says I need to register my product and key in a code on the internet.sony site on my computer. When I go to this site, it picks up that I'm i Egypt and won't let me - says there are no advanced options available in this country. Is there any way round this? Given that I can get the iPlayer to give me access to the BBC radio on my computer, I don't see why I can't get get it via the DVD player.
