I've noticed I can manually switch to HD-DCS surround mode on Dolby 2.1 movies. This seems to be doing something quite sensible surround sound-wise with the stereo recording. I just wondered if HD-DCS is designed to be used with 2.1 or should it really only be used on proper surround encoded movies?
