Does BDP-S550 support iPlayer?

Hi all, please excuse my newbie question but does anyone know if the BDP-S550 supports iPlayer?  I can't see any reference to it (I have checked for an update within the on-screen menu system and am up to date). The software version is 07.4.021 although I am unsure where to verify firmware versions.

Can anyone help?

I guess people don't monitor these discussions much.  I have only just downloaded the upgrade to that version, and I can't find Amazon LoveFilm or iPlayer or any of the other online players.  Perhaps Sony is forgetting us, or the incentives from Amazon, or BBC are not enough for them to worry about old players.  Shame because it is a good DVD and BlueRay.  However I can't see me buying any more Sony if this is their after sales support.  A perfectly good player but stuck in the past!!!!

When DVD players came out, did you complain that your VHS player wouldn't be compatible?

Technology advances and changes quickly and the 550 is 4 years old now and doesn't have compatible hardware to allow it.
