Dubbing from HDD to DVD

Should there be a quality loss when dubbing from HDD to DVD?

Using a RDR HXS560 I'm dubbing from the HDD to a DVD. Original recording is at HSP and I'm fast dubbing at the same quality. Yet the picture is far worse on the DVD. Softer, especially around small outlines.

Thanks

It shouldn't but I have the same feeling (i.e. there is far more pixellation in fast moving scene), probably it depends on the internal format managed by standard DVD.

Yes, I see the same, more pixellation on movement. I guess the only way to keep the quality is to transfer to a PC.

Cheers
