DVD unplugged

I was making a recording using my Sony HXD870 when the machine was unplugged from the mains. It now won't work. How do I fix it?

I had the same problem last night and this morning I found it would only go to DVD mode and showed a E 02 message.  After a lot cursing I found that if you go into system -> disc setup -> hdd format and reformat the hdd it seems to work. BUT it does wipe out the title list much to my annoyance as I had a number of programmes stored I wanted to keep 😞 I have tried recording a few bits and pieces this morning and we seem to be back on track. Hope this helps.

Above you can find what E02 (and other errors on HDD) means. To have a more detailed analisys you should enter service mode, for which you need a specific remote.

In any case, when it shows E02 you already have lost all the data...so you can format it !
