Help, bdv-e370 stopped working?

The DVD player just stopped working. The same for playback from the USB key.  Don't know if my 6 year olds been playing with the remote. It's not connected to the Internet, can anyone out there help?

Hi - I'd try a factory reset from the settings menu and also update the firmware, either via connecting it to the Internet or by burning new firmware to disc.

Thanks for the reply. I've reset back to factory settings, burnt the new firmware onto disc but still no joy. I get a question mark over the dvd icon in the video menu. And the constant message when I try anything is ' cannot playback this disc' this is consistent with all dvd's, bd dvd and usb films that I have previously watched on this system. Is there anything else i can do??!

Fixed!! For anyone else who may have this  problem, unplug the power lead, leave for a min 2 hours and turn back on. All works fine now, very strange.
