Help my blu ray has stopped talking to my TV

My Sony Blu Ray HOme Theatre system BDV-E870 has stopped working with my TV, I am not getting any sound at all, the cd's work but that's all.  On the blu ray box, I now have a box come up saying HDMI which has not been present before.  I have tried re-setting to factory settings but still no joy, my TV worked through the blu ray player before fine. 

Any ideas?

sounds odd, have you disturbed anything?, re check all connections make sure they are all in, have you performed an up date recently?, unlikely as this sounds it may have re set some settings, go through those again and see if anythings changed, also try another HDMI port in case of failure there, however having said that if ones gone then they all have, i cant think of anything else at this point.
