Hi, for some reason I can't access the channels on music unlimited on my Bdv-n590 since a few days.
I'm a premium account holder so there should be no problem.
It works on all my other devices (ps vita, ps3 and my Android device can access channels) and I can access searched music on the system without problems.
However when I to to access channels on my Bdv-n590, I get a server error.
I tried unregistering and re registering the system but with same result, I can play searched albums and music, but can't access the channels, rendering the service on my main sound system useless at the moment as I prefer to listen to a mix of a music genre.
Please help me sort this.
I tried emailing Sony, but I am getting no resonse at all from them and am now wondering whether I'm the only one with this problem.
Many thanks.
Hi - thats a bit odd, sometimes these things are temporary glitches, but if it working on other devices on the same IP address in the home ( rather than a mobile device on a different IP connection ) might be worth doing a factory reset of the player and then logging back in again?
Thanks
Thanks for the tip.
I did delete my identity on there (under reset) multiple times but that did not help.
Did a full factory reset and now all seems to be working.
Also opera store started working where previously I got the message that my device was not supported.
Any idea what could have caused this so that I can avoid running in the same problems later on and have to do a full factory reset and setup everything again from scratch?
Unfortunately it just started doing it again, server error..
I really don't fancy doing a factory reset and setting up the system every other day..
Anyone got any ideas?
No one have any clue?
This is really starting to bug me as I am not able to use the music channels and that is after all what I pay for in the music unlimited service.
I am getting nowhere with Sony support, they just keep telling me they're investigating the issue....
Hi - let me do some digging and try and find out whats happening.. I'll let you know when I hear back.
thanks
Thanks man, that is truly very much appreciated.
Hi Catmambo..
Any luck with the digging?
I am still getting no information from sony support... 😞 and can still not use my system as advertised...
Hope to hear from you soon...
I have encountered this exact problem with my BDP-S480. I have removed my account from the device, I have deactivated it on my SEN page, I have factory restored BD player completely. Still the channels feature does not work and I get nothing but a 'server error'.
This is really very poor, Sony. I know the network connection on the device works fine, and this is absolutely a failure of software. What is being done to address this?
