My BDP-S370 will not connect to the internet

I have connected my player to a wired router but every time I try to connect to the internet I'm told that a network error has occurred.

The Network Connection Diagnostics says that the DNS server is not responding.

The Network Status says

     Physical Connection:     OK

     Internet Access:           Failed

I'm having the same problem :slight_frown: The same ethernet cable works perfectly well when connected to my Sony Bravia but not when I connect it to my Sony BDV-E370.

I've tried to enter the same IP Address and Gateway settings as on the TV but still no luck. Auto setup does not work, just states that Physical connection is ok and internet failed.

Can someone please help?

I'd contact your local service centre and get them to check it out. Should just plug and go..

Thanks

I have the same problem with BDP-S185/S186. All network settings are OK (I surf correctly internet  with my notebook and all is going OK) but if I try to access to the net with my BDP-S185/186 the system return the error INTERNET ACCESS FAILED.

I check all the settings on the router (firewall, port, DHCP service etc) and everything is correct.

How can I solve this problem? Do you have any idea?

Thanks in advance for your kind help on this matter!

I have the same problem with a BDP-370 through a wired connection. I have downloaded an update disc which it carried out with no problem but still no joy. I have tried 4 different ethernet cables and still no joy.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Cheers

Paul

Strange as they are just plug and play. Is it getting an IP address in the network settings part of the setup menu? Maybe test it at a friends house on a different Internet connection to see if it connects there?

Thanks
