Can any one beat that only 18months old and now completely dead! a product that sits on a shelf and perhaps gets used less than 2 hours a week if lucky!
Sony repair centre in Wales are quoting me £214 for a Main Bo Assy? (more than i paid for it) now thats expensive telly!
spoke to Sony customer support team and reply was told tough! oh well, obviously dont need my business.

if you get an independent report done and it finds out that its an inherent fault, your retailer is responsible to have it repaired free of charge under the sale of goods act (6 years for england and wales , 5 years in scotland) and to refund you the testing fees too
items should be expected to last a reasonable length of time and that is not 18 months !!
bear in mind your contract is with the retailer, not sony
Agreed the sale of goods act coudl be useful here. 18 months is not a reasonable lenbgth of time for this to last.
