Osram Bulb Part Number for VPL-VW90ES

I need a new bulb for my VPL-VW90ES projector.

I have had a look at the bulb housing, and there are only three screws holding the bulb into the housing, so I am happy to buy the bulb alone, and fit it into the housing myself.

Both Philips and Osram made bulbs for the VPL-VW90ES and reading various reviews online they all seem to say that the Osram bulb gives a noticeably better picture, especially for 3D applications.

I can find websites listing Osram projector bulbs, but they are listed by Osram part number, rather than which projector they are for.

To avoid ordering the wrong bulb, does anyone know what the Osram part number is for the correct bulb for the VPL-VW90ES?

Hi there

I have done a bit of a search myself, but really come up inconclusive.  If you are intent on replacing the bulb only, your best bet is to remove it yourself as I would expect it have model number/part number stamped onto it.  I would also have to say, I doubt this is recommended by Sony
