Playback problem with SVR-HDT500 recorder

Recently bought - a SVR-HDT500 recorder connected to a KDL-32HX753 TV with HDMI cables.

Playback on the recorder is jerky and sound is not in sync, the screen often blacks out and starts again.  Tried different HDMI slots but makes no difference.  Sometimes when I play the recorded programme again the programme is perfect so obviously the programme recording is fine.  Is this a known playback problem?

Have you downloaded the latest firmware update for the SVR? May well resolve the problem.

I downloaded and installed the firmware update.  Playback perfect.  So hope this solves the problem.
