Sony HT x 8500

hi   I wanted to know if  the Sony HT x 8500 processes all sound input streams to  try to create a  pseudo virtual atmos,  dts- x  like soundscape around the listener?

Everything upscaled close to 7.1.2ch
Now you can enjoy everything you watch in maximum 7.1.2ch * audio. Our advanced digital signal processing converts even stereo audio to cinematic surround with just the click of a button on the remote.

* When using the term “7.1.2ch”, the first number [7] denotes the number of conventional surround sound speakers (front, centre, surround). The middle number [.1] denotes the number of powered subwoofers that can be connected to the receiver. The last number [.2] denotes the number of ceiling speakers or upward firing speakers included in the Dolby Atmos® arrangement.

So... Yes...

a lot of reviewers have said that the mid range is muddied and vocals arnt clear, was that your experience with this bar?
