Sony RDR-HXD870 - TV power ON when playing music CD

Got these components:

DVD: Sony RDR-HXD870 (Connected via HDMI to TV and via Coax to receiver)

TV: Panasonic Viera TX-P42ST60E (connected via Toslink to receiver)

Receiver: Onkyo TX-8050 

Problem is, that when i want just to play music CD on a Sony DVD, TV is powered on showing remaining song time and its number (isn't powered on only when I disconnect HDMI from TV, but that's not a good solution)

When I switch TV off with it's own panasonic remote control, DVD player is switched off as well

When CD starts to play, TV plays too (along with loudspeakers - horrible sound), has to be muted - annoying.

Thanks for any advice, spent whole weekend searching in system menus of TV/DVD/Receiver, found nothing relevant...

Hi there

You could try turning "HDMI Control" to "Off" in HDMI Settings

See page 21 and 148 of the manual : here
