Sony SMP-N200
Hi all
I have been looking for a while and wanted a media player than would work with my other Sony systems TV, Theater system all off one controller, I ended up buying the Sony SMP-N200.
I recieved it yesterday and works as I wanted it to with the remote, my only issue is I cannot get my .MKV files to play which I am sure it said it supports, when I click on the file which are located on my USB device plugged in the side it finds it but when I go to play it a message appaears saying "this file is corrupt or not supported". any suggestions why?
it plays .MP4 files fine
many thanks!

Hi
Im surprised that you can still buy the SMP-N200 because it came out in 2011.
Anyway to answer you question, please read the link below.
http://www.pitivi.org/manual/codecscontainers.html
Then look at the supported containers and codecs on page 25 of the manual
