SVR-HDT500 and IPlayer

I've just bought a SVR-HDT500 and set it up. I thought that I had read that it would play IPlayer, so I connected it through an ethernet cable to the hub. Have no idea what to do next. I have read the manual and cannot find any reference to it. Was I dreaming or can it connect to the internet?

Hi there

If you have set it up correctly,  All you have to do, it go on a BBC channel (ie, BBC1) and press the red button.  You will see iPlayer in the menu there.

when i do as suggested and press the red button only teletext comes on the screen not iplayer is there something else i could be doing wrong

Have you connected an ethernet cable from your router to the SVR-HDT500?
