TalkTalk/Tiscali iPlayer issues Blu-ray

I've a BDP S570 and a EX732 and iplayer has worked ok until last few days. Its great when it works! But over the last few days it now runs out of memory loading the home page and goes into a loop of re-trying until I press HOME to break out of it. Very frustrating. I've been scanning the message boards and lots of folks have been having problems but not seen any mention of this one. Is there a fix or is it just another BBC problem?

...don't get too excited. Mine had been working ok for a day or two but it is back to it's annoying best this afternoon. We have had to plug the PS3 in to get iplayer. Ho hum!

Despite a couple of promising posts recently, I have just tried again today (sat 8th) and my BDP-s570 is still trying to connect the PC based iplayer site and failing with memory issues.  My Wii is doing a better job of connecting than my Bluray.......embarrassing for Sony I should think!

Per my earlier posts, I am on Virgin Media & for the past three days iPlayer (in HD) has been working fine without a proxy.

No idea if this is permanent, but if Tiscali is/was fixed then presumably somebody has found the problem.Just wonder if anyone will own up?

I am having this problem with my bdp s370 using Vodaphone business broadband getting the Not enough Memory error when loading the iplayer when it tries to go into the pc version (starting at radio). This happens most of the time sometimes it opens onto the correct version and works fine.  Any solution or way to progress this would be appreciated.

I haven't seen any updates from them so far via email, so I will give them a nudge tomorrow and see if they have an update.

Thanks and apologies for the delay in getting this resolved.

Oh Dear, Spoke too soon

Back to the usual cycle of not enough memory errors!

Using the proxy, plays for about 10-15 minutes, then "Loading" with no movement of the progress bar. 1-2 minutes wait & the process repeats - usually with a greater level of intermittancy.

Such a pity as when I first got the player last year, it was really good. Wondering now if this will ever be fixed.

Unfortunately there are no clear reasons as to why this is happening, Talk Talk are still investigating the problem from there end, however as there are so few cases and not a wide spread problem it will take time.

If you are on Virgin and have tried to Proxy settings and still cannot get it to work, please contact Sony customer service so we can add your details to our contact list for when we have more information, please supply post code, Virgin package and email address.  Thank you for your support

I'm also having iPlayer problems.  Have been using BDP S370 on TalkTalk (Tiscali) for the past two weeks without problems, however today the memory error occurs - the blu-ray player is trying to access the usual web version of the iplayer rather than the "slimmed-down" site it was accessing before.

Help would be appreciated!

Still nothing here. I'm not an expert, but is this really a problem at the ISPs (in my case Tiscali) end?  My Wii connects fine everytime and both the Wii and S-570 are wirelessly connected to the same box from the same ISP. Surely that indicates the problem being with Bluray player not with the ISP?  Should I try to get a replacement S570 box, as maybe that is where the problem lays. All the other VOD channels work just fine, just BBCiplayer (which is the main one I want). Any comments on the source of the problem from the experts at Sony? Thanks
