UBP-X700 bbciplayer

UBP-X700 bbciplayer

When I bought it, my blu-ray player had the bbc iplayer app.  It recently disappeared.  Done all the resets recommended by Sony but still not reappeared.  BBC confirms UBP-X700 accredited.  What more can I do?  Other apps such as Netflix still there.  But, oh, MUBI just disappeared one day, too, and that hasn't come back.

Hi,

Is your player running the latest software?

Cheers

I have had exactly the same problem, and I have completed a software update, and reset the system as well, but still no BBC iplayer logo available. I only bought the blu-ray player in December.

Same here, Player is running the M43.R.0277  firmware. Last night all BBC apps disappeared along with YouTube.

I have re-enabled YouTube by selecting it from the "All Apps" group, but it no longer appears in the "Featured Apps". Is this a Parental Control issue?

I've seen this mentioned on Sony's Twitter a few hours ago, they've said "We're aware and investigating this" so hopefully we'll have an answer soon.

I-player is back - thanks for the quick action.

What was the problem?

It might just have been an update that wasn't sent to all devices correctly, the app is getting discontinued on some older TVs so I can see how a mistake like this can happen.

Unless Sony or BBC explain what happened though, we won't really know.

Hope this helps!
