UBP-X800 cannot update firmware due to not being able to select OK as it becomes unresponsive

Hello all,

Trying to update my firmware as I am unable to use any of the APPS on my player due to my firmware being out of date. However everytime I try to update it either via the Internet, or USB stick I am unable to choose 'OK' and the screen just freezes.

Any one have any solutions your help is greatly appriciated.

Hi,

Can you please try if disconnecting the device from power for some minutes improves the issue?

Hi,

Unfortunate that doesn’t work, it just seem to crash just before you try to update the unit, I’m lost to what to do. Any other suggestions please?

Have you tried resetting it to factory defaults and then trying the update again afterwards?

That doesn’t work either I’m afraid, still cannot select OK, it’s frozen at the screen when it asks.

What else could I do?

Have you tried using another drive or USB stick for the update?
