Things you’ll need

The easiest way to connect your Sony BRAVIA TV to a laptop or PC is to connect the HDMI® socket on your computer to the HDMI® 1 socket on your TV. To do this all you’ll need is an HDMI® cable.

If your computer doesn’t have an HDMI® socket, you can also connect via a VGA or DVI socket.

To do this you’ll need one of the following cables: VGA to VGA, DVI to VGA or DVI to HDMI®. You’ll also need to connect the audio output of your computer to the MINI-JACK or RCA socket of your TV

Get the best picture

Because BRAVIA HD Ready and Full HD televisions have a higher screen resolution than standard TVs, you may need to adjust the screen resolution of your computer to get the best possible picture.

If you have an HD Ready television you should set your computer’s screen resolution to 1280 by 720 pixels.

If you have a Full HD television, you should set you computer’s screen resolution to 1920 by 1080 pixels.

If your computer doesn’t support the full resolution of your TV, use the closest available resolution.
