Hi, I've had my xperia m5 for a week now. When using my rear 21 mp camera at short range my photo's looks great but at long range, about 1 metre away and further is is completly blurred. No matter what focus setting I use in normal mode or in auto superior it doesn't change at all. I have the latest android 5.1 firmware installed and there are now smudges or scratches on the lens. Is there a setting I missed or is the device faulty?

I have not found a sollution. I tried 3rd cam apps too, but didnt feel so cozy with them.

Im still doing the reboot, if I need to shoot a video. It's annoying though

i used to have same focusing problem. but it solved with just a small trick.

clear the camera lense using toothpaste. i hope it will work for you. go through this video, it might help u.

Hello there. I solved the problem . The thing you need to change which blows the focus is the item detection in your camera menu. You have to switch it off!

So Sony isn't bad at all ,the camera is excellent but there was a bug that was a bit difficult to find !
