Recently, I found out that the microphone at the bottom of the phone is not working, it can't detect any sound and now, the microphone at the back of the phone is not working too, there's no sound when I played the video I had recorded, so is it the firmware or hardware problem?? I updated my phone to .73. So what should I do now? Performing a factory reset, phone repair or send it back to Sony Centre?

Ok so it's definitely a hardware problem time to visit you're nearest service center..:p
Actually the secondary microphone is mainly used for noise cancellations and the primary one is the main microphone.

Hi,
I guess it is a hardware problem but just a quick check and to get sure about it...do this following...
Go to dial pad dial- *#*#7378423#*#* then select service test>scroll down to microphone and do the following test then again tap scroll to secondary microphone and do the test and see if it works...
Keep me posted....after trying it...:)
I tested both...the microphone didn't detect any sound but the secondary microphone recorded my voice, but when I used Google voice search, it didn't detect any voice and other people also can't hear my voice when I answering their call...
