how to do tis? in android gingerbread just tap on the word and the menu add word will pop up.but in ISC there is oni cut n paste only..
thank u so much~ ^^
I thought there was some problem in gingerbread, but same problem is persistant in ICS. And since "Swype" keyboard can add/delete words directly in Personal Dictionary means the problem is not in gingerbread or ICS but with Sony Developers.
Here is what is happening:
The best part about Personal Dictionary in android is that, words in this dictionary are synced across all the devices thanks to automatic backup and restore settings of Google/android. So you need not input same words in the new android you just purchased.
But in Xperia models since the Personal dictionary and Xperia Keyboard User Dictionary are two different things. I have to insert the word again and again whenever i change my mobile or factory reset my mobile.
@Moderator: Is there any way i can file a bug about this? How do i put this problem to sony developer. Cause I am sure if Swype can do things properly, so can Sony Developers.
with my song SL, I can't find the learn words button. Can you please help? I wan't my phone to learn some words for it to be easier to type. phone is running on 4.1.2 android version.
Pleae help, my SL won't accept or add new words to the dictionary. I have tried inputing the words, but it still won't show up on predictive text. It's getting annoying because I often use the word and it still won't register to my phone. I'm runing on the lastes andriod version 4.1.2 also.
Hi,
You are right, the stock Xperia keyboard does NOT use the personal dictionary. It doesn't use my entries there, especially those with a shortcut. I hope Sony fixes this soon.
