Xperia V reboot issue after update

Hello,

I have been experiencing a reboot issue on my Xperia V since last night's update to 4.3 Android. I have removed an update to Album, since that is the only other change. If I run PC companion repair, will all my apps be deleted? Any advice other than that?? Help, please.

If it does not restart,it means there is an app acting up(task killer, battery savers, phone optimizers).

I see, so those are the main jammers. I'll go ahead and uninstall those, there is no real practical need for them, anyway. Save anti-virus app.

Anyhoo, it hasn't restarted for couple of hours, but I do not feel like I can relax. This can really occupy one's mind Slightly_smiling_Face

OK, I feel like I'm in trouble now. Even after the repair and update through PC Companion, the sudden-reboot occured again.

What now?

Help, please, thanks. Would like to remove "solved" label from this problem.

If you have ran repairs ie: Repair via PC Companion and it is still happening then to me it sounds like a hardware issue and would need further investigation - If it's still under warranty take it back to the place of purchase or contact a Sony authorized service centre

Sure will call the store where I bought it, first thing tmrw. Hope they won't just revert back to previous Android and call it a day.

Would it have been of any use if I had done factory reset previous to the repair? That only remains. As a further check, it rebooted prior to ANY app being installed, other than what was generic with Android 4.3.

It would have made no difference as a repair re writes the whole Android operating system - It would be like re installing XP or Windows 7 and as part of the reinstall it wipes the partition and writes the operating system back or using system recovery discs which wipes your hard drive before re installing

There is no Sony official support in Serbia, I bought it at a store which is not Sony store, but I have a warranty and I am not afraid to use it :).

But I see, judging from other posts on this forum, that many people have a similar problem, so I keep on wondering if this could be issue greater than my phone.

I still think you should take it back.Do you want to wait for another update?
