3D TV Operation

Is there any way to check if the 3D transmitter is working?   I have a KDL-40HX803 TV with BDP-S570 3D Bluray player.   I have just got a BR-100 transmitter and BR250 glasses.   However, something does not seem to be working as 3D discs do not appear as a clear 3D picture (the screen looks the same without glasses).   The glasses turn on with a flashing LED as they should but there does not seem to be anyway to check the transmitter is working.  Any suggestions?

Hi there

From my understanding of your issue, I think it could be due to the HDMI cable - I would advise changing it due to the fact that the HDMI cable also has to support 3D.  Have a look on Amazon.  A couple of examples are:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/PRO-GOLD-RED-Version-18Gbps-Black-white/dp/B0031APPM4/

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-High-Speed-Supports-Ethernet-Standard/dp/B003L1ZYYM/

Cheers

Hi there

When you play a 3D movie from your Bluray player, do you get a message on your TV screen saying "3D Signal is Detected" or something like that ?

I have had a look at the specs, of your equipment, and all should be compatible with each other.  There is 1 item that may have been overlooked.  Its the HDMI cable.  You will need at least a HDMI 1.4 cable for 3D.  They are relatively cheap on Amazon.

Cheers

Thanks.   I have no idea of the HDMI cable spec (bought a few years ago with the Bluray player), but it has never given a problem and the picture with a 3D disc does not look normal.

I have not seen a ‘3D signal’ message but on the home screen it does show the disc as 3D and 'Information' shows it as 3D.
