Brava has flashing red light and won't turn on. Can anyone help?

My Brava TV won't turn on, instead I have a flashing red light - it flashes five times and then stops for a short while before starting again. Can anyone help?

          The LED flashing 5 times is usually an error code noted by the TV software.

Depending on the model it can be different. If the set never switches on and only shows this error code, then best way is to go to a Sony Authorised Service Centre to get it checked out.
