Help Please! Sony Bravia and Tivo Output selections

I've recently had Virgin Media Tivo installed which I'm very pleased with.  I've sorted out my Tivo handset so that it now controls the volume/mute/power but still have one annoying little problem.

Whenever I first turn my Sony Bravia TV on and Tivo box I have to go to the TV remote and change the input settings to HDMI.  I've messed around and changed all the other outputs to "skip" but this  stopes HDMI working altogether.  I'm stuck now, I don't know what else I can do - can anyone out there help please?

Hi,

if your referring to having to change input to HDMI 1 to access the TiVo box then your not alone, for some reason that escapes me i cannot get it to switch over when the TiVo box is turned on either, even with the HDMI control on the tv set to on.

I can get it onto the HDMI input but I have to change the input from my TV remote.  Not a major problem but annoying!

Yeah, exactly what i meant, yet if i turn my Blu Ray player on when the TiVo and tv are on it switches to that input automatically!, i dont think the TiVo has HDMI control on it

It's odd especially as switching to HDMI works correctly with the V+ box, hopefully VM will update the TiVo in the near future..

What virgin V+ do you have? I think that the one I have does not have HDMI control. Do you have one of the Samsung one? I think that the best way to go around is a Harmony remote, it saves a lot messy handling with remotes. I thought that the Tivo had HDMI control.
