iPlayer not working

iPlayer on our Bravia was working fine for ages but has recently (last week or so) begun to show faded-out bar are bottom when programme loads, then buffering signal, only showing programmes in 2 or 3 second bursts before cutting out entirely. Very frustrating! Can anyone help?

Have you updated the firmware and tried doing a full reset of the TV - seemingly this can help things..
