Permanently disable HDMI banner on KDL-55W650D

Searched all over.  Many models have a settings option that allows you to turn off the annoying banner at the top of the screen but not mine.  It is not there all the time but pops up often while surfing the net.  Stays on for about 5 seconds.  How can it be disabled permanently on a model KDL-55W650D?

Hi Mr Shamrock,

The Info Banner cannot be completely turned off or disabled. However, you can select certain options in the TV menu to reduce the amount of information displayed in the Info Banner.

Some TVs have an On and Off setting in the General Settings menu. However, the Off setting does not completely disable the banner, it only minimizes the amount of information displayed in the banner.

Other TVs have an option in the Preferences menu to change the Info Banner display size to small, medium, or large . Each size setting also determines how much information is displayed in the banner.
