tv problem

My KDL55HX923 has faint lines at either end of the screen.is this normal?

Nothing is normal, Sony have perfect picture

Are the faint lines exsists with all type of video input source? DVD/ Blue ray, TV channels, Satellite channels,...etc.

Try to disconnect any of the source cable while TV is ON to get a black screen...are faint lines still there ?

it will be a good step if you update your tv with the latest firmware first, this to  judge if the problem caused by software or hardware
