Advice please!

Just got a new Sony Vaio laptop. I just want to know if using the unti while battery charging will affect the battery life? I was told that if the unit is plugged to AC adaptor, I will need to take out the battery. How true is this? Sorry, am quite new to the world of notebooks. Thanks.

Just use and enjoy your laptop when you are recharging is absolute normal.
