ar21s wont boot after backup install, any ideas??

ive just done a reinstall of a back up using acronis. ive never had any problems before using this software but now my ar21s wont boot, just a black screen with a flashing cursor.

ive checked the boot in the bios and its seams hdd booting has been disabled, how to i activate this again? i can change the boot sequence of the bluray, network etc but the harddrive is on its own on the boot page.

also can i upgrade to 2 x500gb harddrives? with the bios accept these drives?

Hi gray52,

If HDD boot option is disabled in BIOS it would tend to suggest that the hard drive is not recognised.

What was the initial problem that necessitated a recovery?

hi, thanks for the reply. ive redone the acronis backup and all is fine. ive since installed a 250gb hd and windows 7 and iv now made my mind up to get 2 500gb harddrives for some serious storage on a laptop.
